Jessica Hicks is an Associate in the Tampa office of Kass Shuler where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. Ms. Hicks also handles securities litigation which focuses on plaintiff-side securities arbitration and litigation, representing individual investors against brokerage firms, investment advisors, commodities firms, hedge funds and others. Additionally, Ms. Hicks represents plaintiffs who have been damaged by their insurance agents, lawyers, accountants and other professionals.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Ms. Hicks attended University of Central Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2017, Ms. Hicks received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law. While in law school, Ms. Hicks interned with a Bankruptcy Judge for the Middle District of Florida and participated in Stetson University’s Bankruptcy Clinic. As recognition for her dedication to bankruptcy law and practice, Ms. Hicks was the recipient of the Stetson University College of Law Judge Alexander Paskay Bankruptcy Award as well as the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association’s Judge Alexander Paskay Scholarship Award.
